About Justin
I began my Public Safety career on June 28th, 2012 with the Powder Springs Police Department. After six and a half years with Powder Springs I left to work for the City of Kennesaw's Police Department. Soon after joining the Kennesaw PD I was in an automobile accident on duty and injured my back. I eventually had to medically resign in 2020.
Now I use my photography skills and resources to photograph Military Veterans and First Responders. I provide these services at no charge for Military Veterans and have multiple contracts with Metro Atlanta agencies. My mission is to provide the best quality portraits for the men and women who have served our country and local communities.
SERVICES
Our Local Heroes provides professional portraits for Military Veterans and First Responders.
I work closely with American Legion Post 29 in Marietta, GA and I am able to provide veterans with professional portraits at no cost. It is all free for veterans. I have multiple contracts with police departments in the Metro Atlanta area where I photograph the entire department on-site and then provide ongoing portraits for the department as they get new hires in. I also provide event photography for military veteran events and public safety events.
Government Agencies: How It Works and What to Expect
A government agency (Police, Fire, Dispatch, etc) and I have conversations about their needs for professional portraits. We figure how many people I need to photograph and determine how many days I will be on-site.
A quote is sent and negotiations begin regarding the cost for services. Some agencies allow businesses to help cover the cost with sponsorships. More information can be requested if this might be an option for your department. If an agreement is made, a contract is signed and then we choose the dates to schedule the shoot!
I will arrive on-site, set up the mobile studio and begin photographing staff/first responders.
After the last day of photographing staff I begin processing and editing all of the photos. The edited photos are uploaded in a custom gallery for the client and a link is sent out to the department's contact to share with the entire agency so everyone gets their photo. Photos are sent within 20 days of photographing on-site.
Agencies then have the luxury of sending new hires to my studio in Marietta, GA. This allows the agency to have photos immediately of new hires and also officers who get promoted. I will never have to come on-site again, making things very convenient for all parties.
